I only use credit cards anywhere they are allowed since my credit card gives me 3% cash back. It's a Chase Freedom card. I set it up to automatically take the payment out of my bank account every month so I don't have to worry about paying it. Using debt cards and cash where you could be using a credit card just seems like a waste to me. Are people just dumb or is there some other logic behind not always using reward credit cards?

My current rate is 19% on about 10,000 in debt. I received a letter from capitalone for a no interest card until nov 2009 on balance transfers. Is it a good idea to do the transfer? Seems like it is.

Why would anyone use these cards? (unless, I suppose, they already have a visa or master card)

Creditors keep punishing you for mistakes you made when you were a young adult. I can't even get a department store account.

I work at a fast food restaurant, and we accept debit and credit cards. Whenever I ask for ID and someone is paying with a debit card, they get mad and say "Well,it's a debit card, why do I need ID?" I guess it's because they think they need to type in their pin,but that's not always the case. Every card swipes as credit on our machine, even if it's a debit. It's because you have to enter that it's debit manually, and we never do that. Therefore, there's no need to put in the pin. So, if that same person's card got stolen, and we didn't ask for ID, a thief could use their debit card. But the customers still get mad. But it's for their own protection and to prevent identity theft.
