Do you have credit card debt? I bet that most of your credit card debt is bad debt right? If you are wondering what bad debt is it’s just debt that has not made you any cash . Good credit card debt is credit that was utilized for school, increasing value of your home, building a business, and things like that. But since you probably didn’t spend your credit wisely I am going to assist you eliminate your credit card debt once and for all.

The first thing you must do is quit using your credit cards. This is the most important because if you continue to utilize the things that got you where you are then you will never get anywhere. After you’ve stopped utilizing your credit cards you have to do a debt consolidation. The reason you have to do a debt consolidation is because it’ll make things lots easier and less expensive if you’ve got all your credit card balances combined into one . The reason this is cheaper is because you won’t have to pay all those small fees for every balance.

Most people think when they do a debt consolidation they have to utilize debt consolidation programs, but that is not the case. When doing a debt consolidation if you understand how they run and how to go about it then do it on your own . Lots of individuals believe they understand what they are doing, but it takes some knowledge of debt and the consolidation practice to be able to successfully complete a debt consolidation.

Make sure that you know one thing regarding doing a debt consolidation, once you have the debt consolidation done it’s time for the tough part to begin , you need to pay the loan off as quickly as possible. The toughest part is always paying things off , so take what you have learned and find ways to make some cash and save some money and you will be much better off.

If someone has a credit card balance (a few thousand) and they transfer it to another low-interest credit card, making all minimum payments needed, and then they transfer the balance AGAIN after that new low introductory rate expires (say in 6 months), would this be considered a good strategy for dealing with credit card debt, if you dealing with a modest income and are struggling to make ends meet?

Besides the disadvantage of not being able to pay down much of the principal amount on the balance, would there be any disadvantage to doing this? Is it a good strategy? Or does it hurt your overall credit?

Thanks...

It used to be a good deal to use a credit card to make purchases overseas because they gave a current (and fair) exhange rate. However, I was surprised to recently find out that my credit card issuer (Chase) charged me a 3% service fee on all foreign currency transactions.

Is this now a convention among credit card companies? Or are there better credit cards out there for foreign currency purchases?

Thanks.
