With the economy down and it impossible to get credit. Do you think it is a good idea to lower the credit standards so that it is easier to get credit. For example. Those that currently have high credit scores should be able to pay no interest on any loans. And those that have fair credit scores should enjoy the low interest rates of the people that had excellent credit. And for those that have poor credit, they should have decent rates, not sky high rates. In other words if they get rid of high interest on loans, do you think the economy will improve?

I had a bankruptcy discharged 12/05, and am still struggling to increase my credit score in order to buy a house (not very soon, I suspect). What would be the minimum score I would need?
Also, I am about to start a divorce, and I wonder how long after that is final before I can realistically get a mortgage?

I have good job security after 5 1/2 years, and decent income. I do have plenty of student loans though.

Me and my fiance are getting married on May 10 and we want to purchase a home. We found a PERFECT home for us in our town that has been appraised at ,000 and is being sold for ,000 (please keep in mind we live in a small rural town where the median price for a home is ,000.) The home was a foreclosure that is currently owned by a couple that "flips" houses. My credit is 540 and his is 550. Up until a year ago his was perfect but he went through a divorce. My credit is bad because of bad checks that were written out. Im getting my taxes back in a week and will finally be able to pay off everything negative that is on my credit report. We were told that there is no way that we will be able to get a home loan bc of our credit, but i still think there is something that can be done. Ive never owned a home and he has previously owned two-one that burned in a house fire and one that is ex is currently living in. Is there anything that can be done, or where is a good place to begin...

It's now more important to your financial situation than ever before to have a clean credit report. Now that loan requirements have gotten tighter, your FICO score may be more important than ever. Now, we will find out how you can raise your FICO score quickly and easily.

Charge offs have to come off your credit report if you want to improve your FICO score. Charge offs can have a real bad effect on credit scores. You do not need them on your report. But if they are there, there is still hope of getting them off. This will improve your credit score and give you lower interest and monthly payments in return. Lenen was able to inform me about foreign solutions.

Beginning the process of charge off removal starts with obtaining a copy of your credit report. You have the right to 1 copy of your credit report per calendar year. This allows you to see what is on there.

Oftentimes, there will be a mistake on your credit report. If you spot a mistake, write a real letter to the credit agency. Do not write an email, write a real letter. With ink and a stamp. cross your fingers and hope you don't hear anything from the credit bureau, because if you don't, the charge off gets dropped from your credit report. Another increase in your FICO score!

It's these small things that count most in increasing your FICO score. Just a small difference in interest for a mortgage can save you thousands and thousands of dollars in the course of a few years. So be meticulous when going over the report.

Looking Into your credit report is something most people never do. People take for granted that no mistakes are made. In reality, credit bureaus make a lot of errors. You can get charge offs removed and increase your credit score. The only thing you need to do is your research and write a letter to credit bureaus. This alone can save you thousands of dollars in the coming years.

I have been working fulltime and now starting back to school fulltime. I have struggled in my life to get ahead after my divorce. I have a daughter at home. I have about 5000.00 in debt from old credit cards and medical that shows on my credit report I would like to get a loan to take care of this old stuff so I can get ahead. Someday I would love for my daughter and I to have our home and not have to struggle in life.
