      I buried myself in credit debt a few years back. Started getting assistance from my family, yet, I dug myself even deeper. I managed to accumulate 7000 in CCD. I am a college student and any responses of "get a job" or "what the hell were you thinking" won't be of much help. Got one. Heard that. I am considering consolidating my debt through a credit saving company. I've heard that isn't very safe. I still have between good and fair credit. I haven't damaged my score yet, but I NEED to get this lowered in the next 6-8 months without ruining my credit, in order to get loans for a house or apartment. ANYONE WITH EXPERIENCE, your responses would be greatly appreciated. I realized what I did was stupid. I've looked myself in the mirror and its time to fix. Please help out.

      im a college student, i dont have any credit history, i just applied a citi mtvu credit card which is designed for collge student, but when i submit the application, it says application received, and ask me to wait for 7 days for the decision, this is my first time applying credit card, is it normal?
