I am starting a small business and I need to be able to accept credit cards. I have heard a lot of bad things about Pay-pal and I would like to avoid using Pay-pal. Besides, I will need to be able to just swipe a card and quickly move on to the next customer. Also, my personal credit rating is not good, and it seems like most of the options I have seen require a credit check. Does anyone have any suggestions/advice about accepting credit card payments for a small business owner without good credit?

I am looking for specific card if possible, not websites to find cards. I would like a second credit card that does not charge an extra percentage for international purchases. Also, if anyone knows of a card that is also 0% APR for the first 6 mos to a year, that would also be beneficial!

I just turned eighteen so I never had a credit card before. I'm pretty ignorant in this area so I have no idea which card to apply for! Are there any cards that do not require a lot of fees?

I'm 27 and trying to apply for my first credit card. I have no debts and a 2.6 yr. history of credit, (off a charge card). I have a score of 723. What are credit card lenders looking for when deciding to approve/deny me for a credit card?

I'm looking for a card that I can use at a grocery store/gas station and just use it a couple of times a month. No annual fees too :)

I know that canceling an open card can adversely affect credit. But I canceled the actual application process, minutes after I applied.

I had hoped to get instant approval to get a big discount on an airline ticket, but as a student and my little income they would have had to do a full background credit check (which would have gotten me the card), but I didn't have time to wait to buy the ticket, so I wanted to cancel.

my intro rate of 0% is about to run out and i would like to apply for another 0% card for balance transfers. my credit is good but not excellent. Is it better to apply for a card at the current company or use someone else?

its acctually a gift card from AmEx but its basically a credit card, its got 50 bucks on it and i just want to go to a store and buy something and get the rest back in cash

- Will I have trouble renting in the future?
- Will I have trouble opening a utilities account in the future?
- What will happen to my credit score?
- How long will it take to build back up my credit, after such a loss?

I am currently on a 7.99% promotional APR rate that will expire in October. But instead of defaulting to variable 15.99%, I received a change in terms letter that states that my account will default to a variable 29.99% rate instead. It is not fair, my payments have been on time for the past 15 years I have had the card and usage rate is 25% of the balance (k out of k). They are giving me the option to either close the card (at 15.99%) or accept the new terms, effective October 2009 - The name of the card is Citi - MasterCard.

- I tried to open a new credit card to transfer the balance......option declined.
- I don't have enough room to transfer the balance to another card that I already have.
- My options: Close the card at 15.99% - monthly payment about 5, Chose the 29.99% rate (with the card open), monthly payment about 0. I cannot afford a monthly payment that high.

I don't know what to do.

In Quickbooks Pro 2008, I need it to list my credit card charges. But it wants me to type them out one by one, which is such a pain. Is there anyway to enter my credit card number so it brings up the information itself?
