I am looking into doing a balance transfer before my current credit card, with WaMu, starts applying interest in January of 2008. I will be paying off the amount in whole within a few months of the new year. This is the only credit card account that I have & I have a credit score of 676 -- is there any way to know what cards I qualify for with possibly a interest free period & no balance transfer fee without having to apply to several first? Since that could bring my credit score down, it would be more helpful to know beforehand. Thanks!

NOTE: There are a lot of cards that do this...but MOST charge a balance transfer fee.

The variable interest rate of the HELOC is currently at 10%. I have a credit card offer of 3.9% on balance transfers until it is paid in full.

If you transfer a balance (even a small one) to a different credit card, does it hurt your FICO score?
