I am looking at renting a room in an apartment (just a very average place…nothing fancy or luxurious)…the landlord runs a background check (presumably to see if you are ok with your money situation). Well, I just checked my credit rating, and it’s "Fair." Does this mean most landlords won’t rent to me? Any ideas? [...]

I work seasonal job and every year a credit check is run on us and a background check.
