I am looking forward to putting down $2k – 3K on a motorcycle and my credit is fair, chance of financing?
What is the chance that i will get financed? I have a credit history of about 4 years. What are some things I can do to get my score up and increase my chances of being financed? Im looking to purchase a used or new motorcycle sometime in march 09 -may 09. Whats the best time (month, season, etc) to purchase used motorcycles? Im trying to avoid asking my parents for a co-signer? Oh and is it best to by used or new? I had a dirt bike when i was younger but it didn't change gears so do you think its possible for me to get away with riding a 500cc or just stick to a 250cc. I am trying to buy a Ninja 250r 08 or 09.
Thanks for your help

If you can afford to put down 3k why not just pay cash for one and forget the financing? You should be able to buy a very good used 500cc or a practically new Kawi 250cc for 3k. Forget all those finance charges.
Don’t wait until the spring to buy as people will be asking top dollar for their bikes. Buy during the winter months, you’ll get a much better deal.
With the credit crunch, your chances of financing are fair to low.
And do note the bigger the engine on a bike the more likely you will kill yourself on it.
