how can i find out if i make enough money to buy a house?

im thinking of buying a house but im single and will be living with my mother that doesnt work..i also want to have a child in the near future. there wont be any one to help me out. how can i find out if i make enough to buy a house or not?

Look at your bank statement and see if it lists a number that is a s great as the value of the property you are interested in.
go to the bank and ask for a fist time home buys loan they will pre-approve you and tell you how much they will loan you.
you sell some stuff.
Go to an online mortgage broker, Lending Tree is one big one. They should have a mortgage calculator you can use. Also try some of the real estate sites that are the bigger ones, they may have a mortgage calculator too. Try also MSN Finance/Business/Money.
