Cash back from credit card in actual cash?

Certain merchants allow cash back using a Discover Card. Be sure to punch in Credit, in the terminal (not debit) it should then ask "Do you want cash back" and show you amounts available (usually $20, $40, $50, $60)
In my experience $60 is the most you can get.
Just be sure the store allows it and your parents approve of you getting a cash withdrawal!!!
Maybe you have activated this service. I had to activate the cash back side of it before I could obtain any. Phone the card supplier
Discover is the only credit (as opposed to debit) card that allows you to do cash back (they call it "cash over"). Only a few stores offer it. You can find a list on the Discover website.
