Get a credit card from local bank and pay it in time. You also can use this service to avoid common mistakes while buiding credit and pre-estimate future scores for different scenarios of payments – freecreditreport.sinfree.net

When I started out best buy was the only place I could get a card with no credit.

My first card was one attached to my checking account.
Easiest to get – it was a visa.

To build up your credit and get 800+ scores you need to pay your bill in full each month.
So a low apr would be useless to you – since you will never pay interest.
Go to bankrate.com and look for one with cash back rewards -
they carry high interest – so don’t dare carry balances.
Last year I made $400 interest and never paid a penny interest.
