Is it possible for me to get a unsecured credit card?

I have a score of 544 (I know it sucks) and I am trying to get a low limit (like 0) credit card to start rebuilding my credit. I want one that doesn't require a deposit or that is prepaid. Any possibility? If so, where would I try?

Try Discover. It they reject you, you are screwed.

Is your score low due to no credit or bad credit? If it’s bad credit, the only kind of credit card you are likely to get would be a secured credit card — you pay a deposit which is held as collateral against the line of credit. If you use the card and pay in full every month, in about a year you should be able to get a regular credit card or convert the secured account to a regular one.

It just ain’t as easy to get credit cards as it once was.
