Some credit cards do offer that kind of protection, some don’t. the only way to know for sure is to call your credit card company to find out.

I am pretty credit card savvy but I can’t say that I’m familiar with the features of Discover. However had a similar thing happen when a MacBook was destroyed after purchase with a Master Card. There really isn’t much covered by the card for the product. They only offer things to protect the card itself and not the items bought using the card. Its best to check extra coverage with the company you buy the laptop from.

    The answer is maybe…

You’ll have to read the fine print of your credit card agreement.
