Are prepaid debit cards accepted just as much as credit cards when shopping online?
I have a greendot visa prepaid debit card.
The site i where i want to make my purchase states that a valid credit card is a must. What is confussing me is there is no mention of prepaid debit cards. I have a Green dot visa pre paid debit card and was wondering if anyone shops online with any debit cards and do you usually get denied of your purchase for it not being a regualr credit card.

Yeah, you should be fine. Prepaid mastercard/visa should be accepted anywhere mastercard/visa is accepted.
Working for a company that takes credit cards on line, I can say YES they do. The only thing to consider is that banks often impose daily spending limits on debit cards, even when used as a credit card. You should call your bank to verify the daily limit if you plan on making a large purchase with your debit card.
A prepaid visa card may require that you register your shipping (or billing) address on the prepaid companies website, since the online purchase form will ask for a billing address.
I do believe that Prepaid debit cards are accepted and almost all websites online, I have a Walmart prepaid debit card and have had no problems paying my bills and buying items online.
