When using a VISA card purchase something online, does the bank send you a bill?

Lets say that I used my Visa credit card to purchase something online. Does the bank phone me about my purchase or mails a receipt? Or they call or something else?
I've never ordered anything online before.

They did call at first. Got a call saying "Your card was just used on Amazon .com, did you know?" "Yes I did." But subsequently they haven’t called.
They don’t send a receipt except the Visa statement. You are supposed to print the receipt/order when you make the purchase.
why u so worried? r u using ur own card? then no worry.
